Scott is in the last year of his doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. His dissertation was on divergent thinking and abstract problem solving in children and adults with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. He thought long and hard about writing his dissertation on mimetic theory and imitation research but was too far along in the process by the time he became captivated by Girard's theory through Gil Bailie's book. Nonetheless, he has been actively involved in researching mimetic theory and imitation research over the last several years and recently received the Travis Award for Integration in Psychology and Theology for his efforts. He is currently training in psychoanalysis at the Wright Institute Los Angeles.
